Ding outlined BFSU's work in discipline development, talent cultivation and international exchange. He said the university attaches great importance to educational cooperation with Peru and other Latin American countries and, drawing on its strengths in Spanish language programs and area studies, is committed to training high-level talent with multilingual proficiency and interdisciplinary competence.

He voiced hope for further practical cooperation with Peruvian universities in Spanish program development, faculty and student exchanges, and joint research, adding that youth and academic exchanges can help deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Peru, and between China and Latin America more broadly.

Vasquez briefed the meeting on the current state of higher education in Peru. Citing BFSU's distinctive strengths in foreign language disciplines and area studies, he recommended Peruvian universities and academic institutions as potential partners.

He said interest and enthusiasm for Asian area studies in Peruvian academic circles are growing steadily and that the basis for cooperation is increasingly solid. The embassy, he said, stands ready to help connect BFSU with counterpart institutions in Peru, and he invited BFSU faculty and students to take part in Peruvian cultural and art exchange activities, noting that firsthand experience would deepen understanding of Peru's history and society.

He discussed Peru's history and contemporary culture, China-Peru cooperation and youth exchange with the audience in a lively exchange.

Staff members from the Peruvian Embassy in China, together with representatives from BFSU, attended the meeting.
