In his remarks at the event, Jia Dezhong, a member of the standing committee of the CPC BFSU committee and vice-president of the university, emphasized that the younger generation plays a crucial role in propelling global development and constructing a better world.

Fostering multicultural understanding and establishing a cognitive framework for diverse civilizations are responsibilities of youth. Promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning and advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind entail solidarity of the young people, Jia said.

As active messengers of civilization exchanges, youth should voice unity for people worldwide, infuse vigor into global development and progress, and boost cooperation, he added.

Jia also mentioned BFSU’s engagement in teaching and research of the Arabic language over the years. The university has facilitated mutual understanding between the Chinese and Arab people, as well as between the Chinese and Jordanian people.

The university has cultivated well-rounded talents with a strong sense of patriotism, a global perspective and professional capabilities, and encouraged young people to tell China's stories well during global practices.
