Alisher Abidjanov, vice-rector of Uzbek State World Languages University (USWLU), led a team on a visit to Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 23.
The team was welcomed by Jia Wenjian, deputy secretary of the CPC BFSU committee and vice-president of the university.

Jia briefed team members on the achievements made by BFSU in disciplinary construction, talent training and foreign exchanges and cooperation and expressed gratitude for Abidjanov’s support of the Global Alliance of Foreign Studies Universities and the Consortium of Country and Area Studies, and for his recognition of the cooperation between the two universities in student exchange programs, teacher training and cultural communication since 2017.
Jia said he hopes his meeting with Abidjanov will continue to deepen cooperation between the two universities and bring about new progress in teacher exchanges, scientific research and teaching, and country and area studies.
Abidjanov introduced the history, disciplinary construction and current scale of USWLU, and said the university is willing to work with BFSU to upgrade cooperation and contribute to the friendly relations between the two universities and between Uzbekistan and China.
