Ambassador of Malta to China John Busuttil visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 21.
Zhao Gang, a member of the standing committee of the CPC BFSU committee and vice-president of the university, met with the ambassador.

Zhao introduced the basic information about BFSU and the achievements made by the university in Maltese language teaching and research, and thanked the Maltese embassy in China for its support in the construction of the university’s Maltese language major, book resource sharing and teacher training over the years.
BFSU has attached great importance to the development of its Maltese language major, and is willing to work with the embassy to promote educational exchanges and cooperation and bilateral relations, as well as to facilitate mutual communication and understanding between the younger generation of the two countries, according to Zhao.
Busuttil talked about Malta’s national conditions and the cooperation between the embassy and BFSU, and spoke highly of the university’s commitment to promoting cultural exchanges through language teaching.
The ambassador said that the embassy will continue to support the university and is looking forward to closer and deeper ties in higher education between the two countries.
Subsequent to the meeting, the ambassador talked with teachers and students at BFSU.
