Croatian education official visits BFSU

Ivica Šušak, state secretary of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, led a team that visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 15.

Yang briefed team members on the general information about BFSU and its School of European Languages and Cultures.

Yang stated that Croatia is an important partner of China in Central and Eastern Europe and China-Croatia relations have enjoyed a sound momentum of growth in recent years with continuously strengthening exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Yang expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Education for supporting BFSU’s exchange programs over the years and said he hopes to continue personnel, information and resource exchanges, enhance mutual understanding, and promote China-Croatia relations to a higher level.

Šušak thanked BFSU for its warm welcome and talked about the current situation and achievements made in Croatia’s science and education.

He responded to BFSU’s cooperation intentions in exchange programs, publishing and library resource sharing, adding that the Ministry of Science and Education will work with the university to make greater contributions to scientific and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The team also met with teachers and students of BFSU’s Croatian language major and visited BFSU Library and the World Language Museum at the university.
