Gulchehra Rikhsieva, rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), led a team to visit Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 10.
The team was received by Jia Wenjian, deputy secretary of the CPC BFSU committee and vice-president of the university.

Jia warmly welcomed the team and briefed team members on BFSU’s development, as well as its disciplinary construction, talent cultivation and international cooperation in recent years.
Jia reviewed the development of the Uzbek language major at the School of Russian and said he hopes to deepen cooperation with TSUOS on exchange programs, Uzbek language textbooks, and academic research within the framework of the Consortium of Country and Area Studies, promote Sino-Uzbek cultural exchanges, enhance mutual understanding, and create a better future.
Rikhsieva introduced the history, disciplinary development and current scale of TSUOS, and shared that the university is looking forward to deepening its ties with BFSU in Chinese, Uzbek and Russian teaching and translation.
