The Overall Situation Report of the United Kingdom (2020-2021), a theme report of the Blue Book of the United Kingdom: Annual Report on Development of the United Kingdom (2020-2021), won the second prize of the Excellent Book Report Award at the 23rd national annual conference on Pishu, or high-value analytical reports intended to guide policymaking, held in Nanchang, southeast China’s Jiangxi province from March 31 to April 1.

Jointly organized by the Academy of Regional and Global Governance and the British Studies Centre of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and the UK research branch of the Chinese Association for European Studies, the theme report was compiled by scholars from BFSU, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) and Wenzhou University.
The Blue Book of the United Kingdom: Annual Report on Development of the United Kingdom (2020-2021) was among the 55 works that were rated A+ or A level in the comprehensive evaluation of the 2021-edition books. Out of the 425 participating works, 52 won the Excellent Book Award and 63 won the Excellent Book Report Award.

A sub-forum was held to discuss the research, creation, compilation and dissemination of international Pishu with the advent of an international situation which is undergoing profound and complex changes.
The annual conference was hosted by the CASS and co-organized by the Social Sciences Academic Press and the Jiangxi Academy of Social Sciences.
