Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) held a series of events recently to celebrate its 81st anniversary.

The celebration events included a parent-child activity for BFSU alumni, which was attended by Wang Dinghua, Party secretary of the CPC BFSU committee, and Jia Wenjian, deputy Party secretary of the CPC BFSU committee and vice-president of the university, and 13 alumni and their families.

They learned to paint sugar-coated figurines, watched classic Chinese animations and visited the University History Museum and the World Language Museum.
The alumni said that the activities were entertaining and educational, adding that they were proud of their alma mater's glorious achievements and are looking forward to its future development.

A live concert was held in the cultural square of the East Campus. The singing and dancing, musical instrument performances, recitation and crosstalk performed by students of the university art troupe attracted more than 10,000 online viewers.

The celebration also witnessed the release of the new emblem of the BFSU Alumni Association, following two months of solicitation, selection, voting and evaluation.
BFSU alumni, teachers and students who couldn't be there in person took an online tour of the campus via the WeChat account of the alumni association and the BFSUers WeChat mini-program. They applied for electronic alumni cards, watched live broadcasts and left comments to express their birthday wishes to BFSU.
