The class initiated by the two sides focuses on the need to enhance international communication in the new era, according to Jing.
The cooperation between BFSU and Xinhua is of great importance and marks an alliance between them, said Jing, adding that Xinhua will maintain coordination with BFSU in the continued development of the experimental class and seek substantial outcomes.
Wang said that the Personnel Bureau will visit BFSU, observe the experimental class in session and explain Xinhua’s employment policies.
Su said as the earliest news agency established under CPC’s leadership, Xinhua has a common ground with BFSU in serving national strategies and inheriting revolutionary spirits. The agency has been considered as an important partner of BFSU. The two sides have maintained close cooperation in enrollment, talent training, employment and internship for a long time.
Both sides have emphasized personnel training and job opportunities, launched multilingual international communication experimental class, improved outstanding graduates’ professionalism, career loyalty and sense of belonging. They viewed the cultivation of international communication talents as a crucial and long-term objective, Su said.
The two sides exchanged views on the internship, training, enrollment and employment of students in the experimental class.
The discussion was attended by officials from the Editor's Office and Personnel Bureau at Xinhua News Agency, as well as the School of International Journalism and Communication, the School of European Languages and Cultures, the Employment and Entrepreneurship Center, the Undergraduate Admissions Office and the multilingual international communication experimental class at BFSU.
The class started enrollment in 2019 and has recruited three sessions since then. It involves majors such as Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Greek and Hungarian.
