Zhai Ziqi is a BFSU student volunteer serving the Indian delegation in the Yanqing Olympic Village. She and her fellow volunteers paid several visits to the Olympic Village and took a series of training courses before the job. Wang Yinuo, also a volunteer student from BFSU, assists the Haiti Delegation in communicating with the media, providing interpreting services and solving problems. “Yinuo is a member of our delegation,” said the Head of the Haiti Delegation.

A group of 96 volunteers works at the Beijing 2022 Multi-lingual Call Center. They pick up phone calls and offer language services to people in need. All of them are BFSUers.

However, volunteer services go well beyond languages. Being a volunteer helps one grow. In 2008, the Multi-lingual Call Center provided services in 44 languages. And in 2022, it is again playing an important role in ensuring the success of the Winter Olympic Games. He Tengteng, a BFSU faculty member is the team manager at the Call Center. He was a student volunteer back in 2008. He fulfilled his dream of serving the Olympics again in 2022.
