Jia Wenjian, deputy Party secretary of the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-president of BFSU, attended the WiseDemo Campaign on building a community with a shared future for global development on Feb 25.
The campaign was hosted online by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies and the Center for China and Globalization.
Participants included 15 scholars and experts from universities, think tanks and international organizations in China and abroad.

Jia explained the university's efforts to promote BFSU Global Strategic Planning (2020-2050) and strengthen the construction of world-class disciplines and the working condition of foreign experts.
BFSU has engaged in enhancing China-foreign exchanges and contributed wisdom to propelling the construction of a community with a shared future for global development, Jia said.
The young generation is the future of the world, Jia added, pointing out that as a partner of the WiseDemo Campaign, BFSU will encourage young teachers and scholars to provide innovative proposals for global issues and governance and to contribute to mutual understanding and cultural integration.
Andy Mok, a professor at BFSU, elaborated on the topic of the innovation drive and digital economy as a tutor representative of the WiseDemo Campaign.
The WiseDemo Campaign on building a community with a shared future for global development aims to encourage young people worldwide to pay attention to global issues.
The campaign is focused on the five topics of poverty reduction and inclusive development, the fight against COVID-19 and public health, climate change and green development, innovation drive and digital economy as well as open cooperation and interconnectivity, collecting innovative proposals from international young professionals and inviting senior experts to provide guidance for their plans.
