Wang Dinghua, Party secretary of the CPC BFSU committee, welcomed Li and explained the university’s reform and development in recent years, as well as BFSU’s efforts in serving the voluntary work of the Beijing 2022 Games.
Wang said the BFSU Party committee attached great importance to voluntary services for Beijing 2022 and dispatched more than 900 teachers and students, one of the largest groups by any universities in China. They leveraged language advantages, showed a good image of China and told the country's stories well on their posts, Wang added.
Li recognized BFSU volunteers’ role in the Games and said that the CYL Beijing Municipal Committee will strengthen cooperation with BFSU and further promote the volunteers’ stories in multiple languages.

The team later communicated with volunteer representatives under closed-loop management.
Huang Lunlun, secretary of the CYL BFSU committee, explained the general situation of the university’s voluntary work. Volunteer representatives who offered language and pandemic control services at the headquarters of the organizing committee for the Games, the Big Air Shougang Olympic venue and the multilingual call center shared their experiences and feelings of serving the Games.
Li also talked with five teacher volunteers under closed-loop management in the Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou competition zones via video. They reviewed their working experience and expressed their determination to further contribute to the upcoming Paralympic Games and other major national events.
Su Dapeng, deputy Party secretary of the CPC BFSU committee, said BFSU volunteers have served national strategies and told Chinese stories well from their own perspectives. He urged the university to provide regular language services and encouraged volunteers to carry forward the volunteer spirit.
Li thanked the teacher and student volunteers who offered assistance to the Games on behalf of the CYL Beijing Municipal Committee. He said the volunteers demonstrated a positive image of the young generation in China, boosted the further development of Beijing’s voluntary services and were highly praised by domestic and international communities.
Li encouraged volunteers to continue their efforts to serve the Paralympic Games and suggested that they should upgrade relevant knowledge, provide all-around services for athletes, keep healthy, strictly abide by COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control provisions and show a good image of China.
The CYL Beijing Municipal Committee will work with the Education Commission of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee to support volunteers in their enrollment, employment and studies, Li said.
