The 15th Young Scholars Forum on International Studies hosted by the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) was held on Nov 20.
The online forum was divided into the three sections of “American studies and Sino-US relations in the period of turbulence and change”, “regional hot-spot issues in great changes” and “the international situation in a time of upheaval”. The forum included twelve sub-forums.
More than 80 scholars from over 20 universities and research institutions across the country attended the forum, including 56 speakers and 12 reviewers, attracting nearly 300 online participants.

Xie Tao, dean of the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at BFSU, welcomed the participating scholars and hoped they will further understand the transformation of the international environment, explore approaches for major countries, including China, to better play their leading roles in making correct decisions, and actively contribute to major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.
Wang Mingjin, vice-dean of the school, noted that the scale and theme of this year’s forum were record-setting, with sharing of diverse opinions and enlightening views.
