Uruguay's Ambassador to China visits BFSU

Aníbal Cabral, the ambassador of Uruguay to China, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on Dec 24.

Jia Wenjian, BFSU's president and deputy secretary of the CPC BFSU Committee, along with Zhao Gang, a member of the standing committee of the CPC BFSU Committee and BFSU's vice-president, welcomed Ambassador Cabral and his delegation.

Jia provided an overview of the development of disciplines, international exchanges, and the construction of the Spanish language program and Latin American studies at BFSU to the delegation.

He recalled the sincere interactions and exchanges between BFSU and Uruguayan national leaders and academic colleagues, emphasizing that BFSU places great importance on exchanges with Uruguay and other Latin American countries and hopes to enhance mutual understanding and friendly relations between the two nations through educational cooperation and youth dialogue.

Ambassador Cabral was pleased to visit BFSU and offered his heartfelt appreciation for the university's significant role in cultivating international talent and promoting cultural exchanges. He's committed to strengthening future cooperation and increasing interactions between the two sides, including more youth exchanges and academic activities. He is hopeful that these efforts will enhance educational and cultural interactions between the two countries and inject new vitality into their bilateral relations.
