French sinologist David Gosset visits BFSU

David Gosset, a French sinologist, chairman of DG2CI Consulting and Communication, and founder of the China-Europe-America Global Initiative, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on Dec 18.

Zhao Gang, a member of the standing committee of the CPC BFSU Committee, expressed his gratitude to David Gosset's long-term contributions to spreading Chinese culture and promoting cultural exchanges between China and other countries.

Zhao introduced the recent developments in discipline construction, international exchange, and academic research at BFSU. He stated that the university is committed to engaging in deep cooperation with the community of sinologists represented by David Gosset in promoting civilizational exchange and mutual learning, as well as exploring academic development and practical innovation.

David Gosset praised BFSU's achievements in foreign language education and international cooperation. He noted that the university has a profound tradition and a promising future in cultural heritage and innovation. Gosset hopes to strengthen joint research with the university and collaborate on international dissemination of Chinese culture, contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The two parties also discussed exploring paths for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, the development of international academic journals, and cooperation in cultural and museum research reports.
