BFSU foreign expert joins program celebrating International Women’s Day

A foreign expert from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) recently took part in the “Beijing Woman and Her Global Friends” international communication event. Co-hosted by the Beijing Women’s Federation and CRI Online of China Media Group, the event aimed to celebrate the 115th International Women’s Day. 

This bilingual short video featured foreign female representatives, including an ambassador, an entrepreneur, an educator and an international student, who shared their perspectives on the beauty of women, highlighted Beijing’s inclusiveness and progress and showcased the significant contributions of modern women on the global stage.

Annemarie Hezel, a foreign expert at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) of BFSU’s School of German Studies, was invited to participate in the program. She described this opportunity to exchange ideas on women’s career development and personal growth with women from diverse backgrounds as a valuable experience. She emphasized that a woman’s beauty is not only reflected in her appearance but also in her kindness and confidence. She believes that every woman should have the right to define herself and pursue true happiness.

The event has gained significant traction across multiple media platforms, celebrating the charm of women while promoting cultural exchange and people-to-people connections between China and the world.
