Team headed by Jia Wenjian visits Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia

A team from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and China MOOCs for Foreign Studies (CMFS) embarked on a visit to Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia from July 31 to Aug 9. It was led by Jia Wenjian, deputy secretary of the CPC BFSU committee, vice-president of the university, and executive vice-president of the CMFS.

The visit aimed to foster collaborations and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign universities, advance cultural and educational ties and promote international exchanges.

The team consisted of representatives from prominent standing members of the CMFS, including China Foreign Affairs University, Beijing International Studies University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Tianjin Foreign Studies University and Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

During the visit to Chiang Mai Rajabhat University on Aug 4, Jia says he wishes that the university will continue to support BFSU in such areas as exchange programs, joint publications and conferencing. Representatives from both sides also conduct in-depth discussions on the upcoming student exchange agreement, proposing to establish a normalized and long-term communication channel to inject new vitality into the cooperation between the two universities.
