Brazilian official visits BFSU

Jihad Abu Ali, director of international affairs at the municipal government of Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 15.

Ali was welcomed by Jia Wenjian, deputy secretary of the CPC BFSU committee and vice-president of the university.

Jia briefed Ali on the basic situation of the university and overseas Chinese education.

He said that in recent years, China-Brazil relations have enjoyed a sound momentum of growth with continuously strengthening exchanges and cooperation across various fields.

Jia said he hopes to further communicate and develop interschool exchanges with the Federal University for Latin American Integration, and explore cooperation in talent cultivation and scientific research.

Ali expressed his gratitude for the reception from BFSU and introduced the geography and characteristics of Foz do Iguacu, as well as the current situation and achievements made by the Federal University for Latin American Integration.

Ali also expressed his hope to work with BFSU to develop multi-disciplinary exchanges and make greater contributions to educational communication between the two universities.
