UAE ambassador to China visits BFSU

H.E. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to China, led a team to visit Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 4.

Wang welcomed the team and expressed his sincere gratitude to Dhaheri for paying close attention to BFSU’s development, and for making contributions to the School of Arabic Studies and the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Center for Arabic Language and Islamic Studies at BFSU throughout his tenure.

The ambassador said it has been his pleasure to once again visit BFSU, adding that the friendship between the UAE and China has a long history and will continue to usher in broader development.

Dhaheri expressed his expectations for the development of the School of Arabic Studies and the Zayed Center at BFSU, and said that he hopes China and the UAE will further explore and deepen cooperation in more fields.

The ambassador also met with teachers and students from the School of Arabic Studies. He reviewed his five and a half years of work and life in China, praised the Chinese people for their hard work and pursuit of excellence, affirmed the important role played by the school and the Zayed Center in promoting China-UAE cultural exchanges, and encouraged students to facilitate friendly exchanges between the two countries.

During the Q&A session, Dhaheri explained the bilateral relations, as well as the UAE’s foreign policy and economic and cultural development.
