BFSU approved for pilot virtual teaching and research projects

Five projects of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) have been approved as China’s first virtual teaching and research pilot projects, according to a list released by the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Feb 21.

Taking moral education as the fundamental task and talent training improvement as the core mission, the virtual teaching and research pilot projects are set to explore the establishment of new grass-roots teaching organizations, seek common development of teachers and education, encourage quality-oriented tutoring, stimulate teaching enthusiasm, guide teachers to improve their teaching skills and provide strong support for the high-quality development of higher education.

BFSU has focused on the development of basic teaching organizations. Taking the construction of virtual teaching and research pilot projects as an opportunity, the university will conduct diversified exploration in education, teaching and research reform, innovate teaching and research methods, strengthen studies in education, provide regular training programs for teachers and promote the sharing of high-quality teaching resources.
