Su Dapeng meets with ICRC officials over personnel training

Su Dapeng, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), held talks with officials from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Delegation for East Asia over the building of employment internship bases and other issues of common concern in a meeting in Beijing on April 24.

During the meeting, Bruno Pommier, deputy director of the ICRC Regional Delegation for East Asia, talked about major functions of both the ICRC and its affiliated Regional Delegation for East Asia and spoke highly of the efforts made by BFSU in the cultivation and exportation of talented graduates to international organizations.

He gave high praise to the comprehensive qualities and foreign language skills demonstrated by its graduates, and expressed willingness to further strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Su paid high respect to the humanitarian mission and relevant work undertaken by the ICRC. He said that two sides share common interest in the sector of personnel training and hoped that they will elevate their cooperation to a new height and achieve win-win cooperation on the basis of building employment internship bases.

Other officials from the ICRC Regional Delegation for East Asia introduced the focus of its personnel training and media-supported publicity resources.

Officials from two sides reached several consensuses on the organization of campus activities, the building of employment internship bases, and the organization of academic exchanges.

Those in attendance at the meeting included Graziella Leite Piccoli, another deputy director of the ICRC Regional Delegation for East Asia, Chen Haiyan, director-general of the BFSU Department of Students' Affairs, Guo Xianghua, deputy director-general of the BFSU Office of Alumni Affairs, and Wu Mei, director-general of the BFSU Employment & Entrepreneurship Center.
