Foreign Language Education in China is sponsored by Beijing Foreign Studies University and co-sponsored by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. It publishes four issues per year.
This journal combines theory and practice, academic research and application, as well as scientific and social features. It encourages researchers to focus on the problems of teachers’ concerns, and supports teachers to carry out innovative research on theory and practice, covering different languages and the entire school period. The journal is dedicated to building a professional academic exchange platform for foreign language education researchers in China.
The main columns of the journal include: Hot Spotlight, Foreign Language Teaching (research on foreign language teaching, foreign language teachers, foreign language courses and teaching resources, and foreign language education policies and theories), Foreign Language Learning (research on foreign language learning and foreign language learners), Foreign Language Evaluation, Language Talent Training for Belt and Road Initiative, Foreign Language Teaching Materials, Book Review, and Academic Trends.
This journal has been included in the Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) source journal catalog (2021-22), China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database, and CNKI series databases.
