Foreign Language Teaching and Research (FLTR) is a bimonthly academic journal of foreign language teaching and research. Launched in 1957 as the first journal of its kind in China, FLTR is now supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, sponsored by Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), and edited by FLTR Editorial Department of the National Research Centre for Foreign Language Education of BFSU.
FLTR covers all the research issues of the foreign language discipline and features prominently in columns of languages and linguistics, foreign language education, translation studies, and intercultural studies etc. Over the years, FLTR has gained a high reputation both at home and abroad for its pursuit of higher academic standard, broad and open research perspectives, and professional editorial team. It has been awarded numerous funds and honors from the Chinese government and academic associations, subscribed by many overseas colleges and universities as well as scientific research institutions, and admitted by plenty of journal databases, including USA’s Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts and Sociological Abstracts.
